Community Outreach

January 18, 2001- Marshall Sales, Inc. & Aluminum Supply Co, Inc. in association with the Greater Detroit Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) helped to raise $5000.00 for the Alternatives for Girls through an ad campaign for the printed program  for NAWBO's Annual Joint Networking Meeting of Professional Women's Organizations.

Alternatives for Girls (AFG) is a community-based organization in Detroit, Mi. founded in 1985 by a group of southwest Detroit residents, clergy, and business who were concerned about the alarming increase in drug use, homelessness, prostitution, and street activity among girls and young women. In 2000, 1,398 at-risk and homeless girls and young women were served.

The employees of Marshall Sales, Inc. and Aluminum Supply Co., Inc. also helped AFG by donating toys, clothing, can goods, personal hygiene items, socks, gloves, hats, and scarves at Christmas time in 2000.
