Community Outreach

April 20th., 2001-Aluminum Supply Co., Inc. & Marshall Sales, Inc. have contributed over $1200.00 to the FIRST Team 469 in Oakland County, MI for the 10th. Annual FIRST Robotics Competition. FIRST, For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, is a non-profit organization that pairs businesses and universities with schools to inspire students to pursue engineering, science and technology professions. 

FIRST Robots do battle at the 10th. Annual competition held in Orlando, Florida.
During the FIRST competition season, teams work with engineers from both business and universities to engineer and construct their own robots that are put to the test at a series of regional tournaments. Team 469, self named the Las Guerrillas was seeded ninth in their division at the national championship held at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Despite losing in the last round of competition, Las Guerrillas and ASCO/MSI were proud of their showing leaving them tied for 5th. place overall out of 330 teams.
