A Successful 2014

For over 8 years Marilyn Marshall, mother of ASCO/MSI owners, has been donating coats and other items to Gompers Elementary. Last year Marilyn passed away, but her daughters continue her giving traditions.

This year was especially successful. Over 240 coats with matching hats and gloves were delivered 11/05/2014 along with a sizeable monetary donation. This year the family was invited to help distribute the coats. It was a heartwarming experience, and showed that the efforts were so very worth it. It also proved that we need to do more.

With help from Detroit Public Schools our efforts drew the attention of local news media. WDIV Channel 4 aired a piece that evening about our efforts. It was nice to see Marilyn Marshall's memory continue on local TV.
